Help Your Clothes Last Longer!
§ Hang all of your pants and skirts on pant hangers. This will save you space in your closet as well as save you time ironing.
§ Don’t allow clothes to pile up on the back of a chair or the floor. Hang them up after you are done wearing them. This will not only prolong the life of your clothes, but save you money and time on dry cleaning and ironing.
§ Don’t dry clean white shirts. The chemicals yellow your shirts quicker as well as break down the fibers in the shirt. Wash them yourself, hang them dry, and then take them to the dry cleaner for a professional press. This is cheaper and will make your shirts last longer.
§ Give your clothes some space in your closet. Don’t cram every piece of clothing you own in one closet so that there is no space between them. Ideally, you do not want your clothes touching each other. This allows them to air out, preventing mildew and moths.

Two that I’m guilty of : throwing my clothes over a chair, and cramming it into all one cupboard.
Firstly, when I get home LATE, the last thing I feel like doing is hanging my clothes up and then getting into bed. Rather, it’s clothes off, into bed. As a guy, I guess I can do this. I don’t have to worry about make-up etc.
Secondly, I unfortunately have not got all the cupboard space I would prefer since I stay in quite a small place. And it’s not like a I have a ton of clothes anyway!
I do find that if you come from a smokey place, hanging your clothes outside our cupboard for half a day helps to get that smokey smell out. As a non-smoker, I guess I can pick up the smokey smell easier than smokers… or at least it bugs me more.
