Square - This face is best recognized as having a strong, square jaw line and wider, fuller face. The Forehead, cheekbones and jaw line are all about equal width. Choose hairstyles that part to the side to offset the fullness of the face and add softness. Styles that are longer than the jaw line, or adding a bit of height at the crown will elongate the face.
Celebrity Squares: Tiffany-Amber Theissen, Demi Moore, Brooke Shields

Rectangle – This face shape is longer than it is wide with the forehead, cheekbones and jaw line about equidistant. Choose horizontal styles and shapes that break the length of the face, making it appear more oval.
*Most models have this face shape.
Celebrity Rectangles: Claudia Schiffer, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Molly Sims

Heart – This is the second most balanced face shape. The widest parts of the face are the forehead and cheekbones (sometimes being equidistant), with a soft jaw line and pointed chin. This face shape can also wear almost any hairstyle or glasses frame; however it’s important to pay attention to the amount of forehead exposed. Sometimes there can be too much forehead and bangs or “fringe” are needed to balance the face.
Celebrity Hearts: Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts, Tyra Banks and Jennifer Anniston

Round – The round face is characterized as full with few angles with the width and length in close proportion. This face shape is best flattered with layers around the face to add more hard lines as well as a side part to elongate the face. The best lengths for this face shape are ones that end BELOW the jaw line to add more length.
Celebrity Rounds: Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz and Vanessa Williams

How do you know if your hairstyle is as flattering as it can possibly be? How many times have you wanted to try a different haircut but weren’t up to the risk? Read on for a fool-proof hair style formula:
· Determine your face shape: in a mirror, pull your hair back and/or put it in a head band. It’s important to make sure your bangs are off your face.
· Trace the outline of your face with a bar of soap and then stand back to see what shape it most closely resembles – that’s your face shape.
· Finally, find a celebrity that has your face shape and if the hairstyle looks good on her, it’ll look just as good on you!
There are essentially 5 different face shapes: Oval, Heart, Round, Square and Rectangle.
Oval – This is most balanced face with the cheekbones being the widest part of the face. The forehead and chin both narrow to graceful points. The oval is usually seen on those with small bone structure. They can wear any glasses frame or any hairstyle however proportion is very important. Glasses frames or hair that is too big will overwhelm the face.
*This face shape has the ability to wear drastic lengths and it does not age them.
Celebrity Ovals: Ashley Judd, Halle Berry, Sarah Michelle Geller

If you’re looking for that perfect pair of red shoes, but feel like so many of the ones on offer look a little too loud or trashy, here is a great alternative.
Stuart Weitzman has created these beautiful red ombre heels. The way they fade from bright red to a deep plum means that they are perfect for anyone who wants a more subtle, classy take on the trend. They are available at Nordstrom and Nordstrom online for $255. These would be a great addition to any wardrobe and a wonderful way to update your look for winter and the holidays.
