Heart and Round Face Shapes & Flattering Hair Styles

Heart – This is the second most balanced face shape. The widest parts of the face are the forehead and cheekbones (sometimes being equidistant), with a soft jaw line and pointed chin. This face shape can also wear almost any hairstyle or glasses frame; however it’s important to pay attention to the amount of forehead exposed. Sometimes there can be too much forehead and bangs or “fringe” are needed to balance the face.

Celebrity Hearts: Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts, Tyra Banks and Jennifer Anniston

Round – The round face is characterized as full with few angles with the width and length in close proportion. This face shape is best flattered with layers around the face to add more hard lines as well as a side part to elongate the face. The best lengths for this face shape are ones that end BELOW the jaw line to add more length.

Celebrity Rounds: Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz and Vanessa Williams

    Hi Erin
You’re giving some great advice on your blog.
The people of OC are very lucky to have someone to share the style secrets of Paris with them!
