Square and Rectangle Face Shapes & Flattering Hair Styles

Square - This face is best recognized as having a strong, square jaw line and wider, fuller face.  The Forehead, cheekbones and jaw line are all about equal width.  Choose hairstyles that part to the side to offset the fullness of the face and add softness.  Styles that are longer than the jaw line, or adding a bit of height at the crown will elongate the face.

Celebrity Squares:  Tiffany-Amber Theissen, Demi Moore, Brooke Shields

Rectangle – This face shape is longer than it is wide with the forehead, cheekbones and jaw line about equidistant.  Choose horizontal styles and shapes that break the length of the face, making it appear more oval.

*Most models have this face shape.

Celebrity Rectangles:  Claudia Schiffer, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Molly Sims
